Marble Works
I got the Marble Works toy by Imaginarium for my son who is now 6 years old, two years ago and as usual he really started to play with it now, and it is real fun.. We could create so many patterns. Basically it is like a roller coaster where you can drop marbles and watch them coming down through all the curves and bends. It is an awesome toy even for adults and we enjoy building so many different structures using that and my son himself tries to put together different patterns and he calls it a water park. It is a very good toy, which will make us think logically..

Perler
I came across a kids craft project called Perler Fuse Bead. I actually got the materials from Ikea long time ago and last week I was just surfing and I came across the Perler Bead site. I started doing little projects from the web site. It is a peg board where you can create your own designs using tube-like beads and then place a parchment paper and iron on top of it and then once it cools reverse the same and iron again. It was so much fun to do with my son. Following is the link for Perler site where there is a gallery you can see and do... Later, I will post the projects which we made.

Music Director Deva
I came across a website which shows about our tamil music director Deva and his music - where he copied the tunes from. It was quite intersting and some of them are exact copies of western songs... Click on to the following link to view some of the songs he has copied from..

Manadhodu Mano
Recently I watched a show called Manadhodu Mano in Jaya TV and it is very interesting. I watched a couple of episodes. It is a show hosted by Singer Mano and he interviews singers, music directors etc. I watched Singer Chinmai's episodes and it was really intersting and it was not formal at all. It was like a girl next door talking to us. Also Carnatic Singer Nithyasree's episode was also nice. An intersting programs amidst of weeping serials...

Food Network Star
Today I watched the Finale of the Food Network Star and I was so excited because an Indian - Aarti won the title and her show will be airing soon. She was like a next door neighbour teaching us cooking and she brought in a lot of Indian twists to western recipies and she was extremely confident about it. Why I am telling this is some people do not like the flavour of CURRY as they call it (in their heart of hearts they do like it but they would not admit it..) but she was really comfortable in incorporating Indian style.. It was so good to see an Indian winning amidst of other people. Congrats Arti!!! Way to go....
Trip to Wild Water Kingdom
As I mentioned earlier, today we had been to Wild Water Kingdom. We really had a good time there. But you have to plan really well, they do not allow you in any of the rides ( I mean the tube rides) without a bathing suit. I am not quite comfortable wearing a bathing suit so I was wearing a Tee and and knee length short (I was told that I had to have a bathing suite underneath, which I do not really understand...)and I was not allowed to go in the tube rides which my husband and my son went and they said it was so much fun. Other than that we went in the Wave Pool, Lazy River, Dolphin Bay etc.. It is just not the entry ticket you have to pay, for the locker, tube etc.. it could cost you well over what you think.. so be prepared if you decide to go. Another thing was they had a snack called twister (I think they call it a twister...) It is like a hollow cylinder about 1/2 feet tall and about 10 cm in dia..it was amazing.. they are selling in different flavours. We got the one dipped with chocolate sprinkles and man I got to tell, it was out of the world. So next time Wild Water Kingdom - Bathing Suit and Twisters.... for sure...
